Anachronistic Moralization of Progress holds that an Inscrutables panel may project a familiar modern moral or social script into an impossible historical setting, exposing the script by making its assumptions temporally absurd.
Unlike PCAP or BRFT, AMP is driven by temporal displacement: the complaint is recognizable because its social function is stable even when its historical content is nonsense. The reference implementation is Working Paper No. 46, in which the immortal parental sermon "When I was your age" survives transplantation into a prehistory where bicycles predate wheels — hardship valuable enough to override technological dependence.
