Presentist Procedural Overlay holds that an Inscrutables panel may insert a contemporary bureaucratic, therapeutic, managerial, or hygienic script into a historical or folkloric setting where the script is contextually alien but instantly legible.
PPO differs from AMP because it is not mainly about retrospective moralizing. It is procedural presentism: the speaker acts as though the rules of today's organized life are simply the correct way to administer any century. The reference implementation is Working Paper No. 47, in which a Viking with a mild dry cough announces a boat-based flexible-work arrangement mid-raid — the policy language excellent, the job feasibility catastrophic.
